A nurse, Caitlin Cory, (Rachel Ward), marries her patient Richard Cory,
(Terry O'Quinn), older but a rich man and leaves her work as he wished.
But her ruthless husband is too engrossed in his business to attend to
her intimate needs.
After discovering her husband is having an affair, she is just tired of
being a trophy-wife of his. Caitlin spends her time with Eric, (Joshua
Morrow), Richard's estranged son from his first marriage. She helps him
build up a log-cabin on a clif by the lake and is soon finding love and
unrestrained passion in the arms of his.
A raging jealousy between father and son develops when Richard discovers
the affair. And Caitlin reveals just how ruthless her husband can be.
She arrives too late to witness the fatal struggle between Richard and
Eric. When the father is murdered, Eric is arrested and put on trial.
Caitlin believes Eric's not guilty and he's eventually acquitted. But
despite the fact, Caitlin finds pieces of evidence proving Eric's guilty.
But everything is not what it seems and what Caitlin does not know could
kill her…

V tomto televizním filmu herečka Rachel Wardová ztvárnila postavu zdravotní sestry Caitlin Coryové provdané za svého pacienta Richarda Coryho (Terry O'Quinn).
Caitlin po sňatku opouští práci, protože její muž Terry je milionář a nepřál si, aby jeho žena pracovala. Jenže Terry je až příliš zaneprázdněn svými obchody, než aby si všímal intimních potřeb své ženy. Po čase, co Caitlin odhalí manželův milostný poměr s jinou ženou, se jí začne zajídat postavení representativní manželky.
Brzy však nachází lásku a nespoutanou vášeň v náručí Erica (Joshua Morrow), Richardova poněkud odcizeného syna z prvního manželství, kterému pomáhá se stavbou dřevěného domu na skále u jezera.
Richard se o poměru dozví a tím se rozvine silná žárlivost mezi otcem a synem. Caitlin dorazí do srubu příliš pozdě na to, aby se stala svědkem smrtelné potyčky mezi Richardem a Ericem. Když je otec zavražděn, Eric je zatčen a poslán do vazby. Cailin věří v naprostou Ericovu nevinu, ale postupně nachází důkazy svědčící proti Ericovi, který byl nakonec soudně osvobozen. Jenže ne všechno je takové jaké se zdá být, a to, co Caitlin netuší, by ji mohlo i zabít…
